Temple Christian - Jr. High Volleyball!
Cara's first volleyball game of the season went better than I had expected considering the changes to the team that were made in the last week. The A team came from quite a deficit to win the 2nd game and to take the match into a third game. Way to go, girls! I still say, "let them underhand that serve!" They are throwing away too many points with their serves! But, hey...that's why I'm not the coach, huh? LOL!!

Temple Christian....soccer!
Temple Christian's Varsity soccer season has begun! I love soccer! I love this team. They have a difficult season ahead of them, but I love how much comraderie there is in the team this year, and they have a lot of heart! They played a Columbus team on the first game where the majority (or all) of the team was foreign. Although they lost 4 to 1, they played a good game and I was proud of them. Chase told me that they spoke with an accent, and the line of the night (from the other team, of course) was [in a Jamaican accent], "Oh, Man...give me the f***in' ball!] Yep, that's what happens when you play non-Christian schools! Let the season continue!

First Day of School!
It is that time of year again....! I hate school starting so soon. Where did our summer go? We had such a wonderful, fun-filled summer, and I hate it coming to an end. I do love Fall though. It is my favorite time of year, with all the Fall sports and the cooler temperatures and Fall colors. My kids have grown so much. Chase is a Junior, Candace is a Freshman, Cara is a 7th Grader, and Carmen is in 5th grade this year. I'm praying for a good school year!

My Creative Scrapbook's new sketch blog!
I am so excited to announce that My Creative Scrapbook now has a new sketch blog and you can come on over and play along for a chance to win a fabulous prize:
This is my page playing along with the first sketch. You can see that I didn't take the sketch literally, but that's what makes sketches fun to me. I can take a basic sketch and change it around to fit my style...and I got to play with some of the new Basic Grey too! It's a happy day when I play with Basic Grey! :)

Basic Grey Picadilly....
I am thrilled to play with the new Basic Grey Picadilly line. These papers are so gorgeous and I just love all the little, adorable stickers on the sticker sheet. I thought this line made this photo of my father-in-law on vacation so whimsical and fun. I'm so thankful we were able to spend another vacation with my in-laws, this time in the mountains!

My two high schoolers....
That's right! Candace will be a Freshman this year and Chase will be a Junior. How can that be? Wasn't it just yesterday that I started them in school? God has blessed me with such beautiful, intelligent, mature and loving kids (most of the time)! I'm anxious to see how God will work in their lives this year as they are in high school.

Chase is a hoot!
I love vacation...I love spending time with my family...I love having fun with the kids! One night while we were in our cabin, we were getting a little tired and giddy. Chase picked up Grandpa's cane and entertained us with Dick Van Dyke's cane dance from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Remember the song? Me 'Ole Bamboo? Well...I laughed so hard at him jumping over that cane. He was actually quite good at it and he is so limber like Dick Van Dyke. I love how this page turned out. It makes me smile!

Just for fun!
I don't get to scrap just for fun much any more with my design team assignments and my crazy, busy life, so when I do get to, I really enjoy just creating. I picked these photos of Chase and Grandpa on vacation because I can still remember my thoughts as I took the photos. I was thanking God that Grandpa was with us considering his horrible accident last summer when he fell off a roof and shattered his knee and heel. We are just so thankful that God spared his life and let him walk again. We cherish the moments we spend with him, even more so now!
