Sneak Peek of IOD Preposterous....

Creative Imaginations has come out with so many fabulous releases for this CHA, and I absolutely fell in love with the IOD Preposteorus line. It is just so girlie...so fun...and has fabulous colors. I made this little altered mirror with just the embellishments in this collection.

Happy 2012!

Let me take this moment to wish all of my internet friends a very, very happy 2012. As I reflect back on 2011, I count myself blessed by a wonderful, loving family, and by some fantastic, supportive, talented, caring friends (some that I have met in real life, and some that I only know through the world-wide web). I hope your upcoming year is happy, healthy and full of wonderful memories.

Photo a Day Project

I have almost completed my Photo a Day project for 2011, and I'm definitely in again for 2012. For the year 2011, I have taken 1 photo a day which has summarized my year. The photos range from all my kids' sporting events, to favorite foods, to family get-togethers, to accomplishments and birthdays. Each day has been memorialized by a photo, and I can not tell you just how special this project has been to me, especially now as I look back at 2011. I have found that my favorite photos are the every-day-moments that I may not have captured if I had not done this project. The photo of the girls playing cards together, or a photo of our many bonfires, this photo of Chase struggling with his Physics class, or Cara and Carmen riding the lawn tractor together.... these are the photos that mean the most to me because they do summarize our year. I encourage you to think about doing this project. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Traditions!

I am such a huge believer in family traditions. This is one that we started last year. Afte we go to the Christmas tree farm and pick out our family Christmas tree, we stop at this abandoned railroad track and take the kids' photo. Chase tried to get me to skip this tradition, but the girls were on my side, and Mike knows this is my favorite part of the day too. So...we stopped, and I snapped 2 photos of the kids by the tracks. Chase wouldn't get on the tracks this year since he heard it was against the law! LOL! After we leave the farm, take the photo on the tracks, we then go to Applebees for dinner. This is really the only time we go out to eat as a family all year long so you can imagine, it is a treat for all of us. What a great day, spending time together, during this magical season.
